Biden Ends DNA Tests Which Protected Children from Sex Traffickers, #SoundOfFreedom

A 19 -year federal government HHS employee, backed by official documents, says the Biden administration is “facilitating” child sex trafficking across the Mexican border. HHS, the US Department of Health and Human Servies, is the federal agency charged with the protection and well-being of unaccompanied minors crossing illegally into the United States.

Soon after he took office, the administration dropped background checks of people whose phone number, perhaps a “burner phone,” was written on, or pinned to the children. Federal law requires that any number found on the person of an unaccompanied child be called. Also dispensed with were DNA tests which had been used as a tool to determine if children and the adults claiming them were actually related.

In an April 2023 hearing on unaccompanied minors picked up at the US – Mexico border, by the House Subcommittee on National Security, the Border, and Foreign Affairs, in Fiscal Year 2022, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) referred nearly 129,000 unaccompanied minors to HHS compared to roughly 15,000 in Fiscal Year 2020.

The US Health and Human Services Department’s “Office of Refugee Resettlement’s Unaccompanied Alien Children Program” estimates that since Biden took office, around 85,000 unaccompanied minors who were delivered or released to adults, without background checks or DNA relation verification, cannot be accounted for, that is, contacted for well-being checks. All of these are potentially child sex slave victims, due to lack of knowledge on their whereabouts, well-being, or on who they were delivered to.

On March 19, 2021 Texas Gov. Greg Abbott told Fox News that the Biden administration was denying the Texas AG’s office access to interviewing the children who were found unaccompanied by Border Patrol and other law enforcement, and charged that a “cover-up” was in progress.

Abbott told Griff Jenkins:

“These professionals are being denied the ability to crack down on the human trafficking that these children are being subjected to….”

The HHS employee, Tara Lee Rodas ( @taraleerodas ,) has spoken out in numerous forums, including in testimony before the US Congress. Before the Biden administration, people claiming unaccompanied minors to be their relatives would have to travel to pick them up. Now, the government flies them to the destination free of charge, background checks, or DNA verification of blood relationship.

Rodas said in an interview released in November of 2022:

“These vulnerable children, we care for them, we clothe them, we feed them with your dollars and my dollars. We fly that product directly to the trafficker.”

Rodas’ testimony squares with allegations by Tim Ballard, the child sex slaver hunter portrayed in the wildly successful new film The Sound of Freedom. Ballard said in an interview on the Internet show The Daily Signal:

“I’ve seen the CPP reports are for under five years old, why is a three-year-old showing up at the border? I can tell you why, because they show up with a name, a name is the sponsor that they’re given by the trafficker. HHS gets the kids and they by law have to call the number, ‘hi we have Jose Gonzalez Mr George Smith yeah yeah, that’s my kid whatever. They used to actually fly down and have to pick the kid up. Not anymore. Our taxpayer dollars will then send the kid by plane or bus to the this George the sponsor, no background check, no DNA nothing….For the first time in American history our taxpayer dollars are going to facilitate the last leg of a child trafficking uh event… thanks to the Biden Harris border policy.”
